Meet the Divas

We love to travel and try new things and that is what we are going to chat to you about! We are the travel divas for Ontario, If you want to take a vacation, have a beach day, explore the best food and agriculture around or even just wine and dine we’ll find it on Ontario’s West Coast, your countryside and coastline!

Meet our newest Diva:

RACHEL LYNN (photo to follow):

Rachel grew up in a small town called Simcoe in Norfolk County on Ontario’s South Coast.  After university, she married, and with her husband lived in Toronto for a  short time before  settling in Goderich.  Fast forward 7 years later, they have a daughter named Beatrice and an Australian Shepherd named Hank.  Nothing is better than good food, good wine and sitting around with friends or family.  One of her favourite past times is fishing! She has fond memories of her dad and her during our summer vacations spending hours on the lake. Rachel loves playing team sports, working out, baking and curling up with a good book.   Huron County is now home and she wants to explore all it has to offer.

Calista Powell

Calista Powell

Born and raised in Clinton, Ontario and of Ojibwe descent, Diva Calista Powell has an appreciation for Huron County living that continues to grow every day. Starting from a young age, she always felt consumed by wanderlust as she travelled across the globe and visited Greece, Nicaragua and Australia (to name a few) all prior to completing her Post-Secondary education at Western University. With a passion for communications and sharing her voice though a variety of media types, Calista is always interested in learning more about advocacy for First Nations, Women’s rights, DIY projects, culinary understanding and the arts. Her innate desire to learn more about her surroundings has lead Calista to become a Travel Diva and she looks forward to sharing her experiences discovering Ontario’s beautiful West Coast.

Diva Christine Harris

Diva Christine Harris

Christine Harris, RMT was born and raised in Exeter where she still lives today. Last year she took her first trip out of the country and visited Cuba.  She loved it so much that she went to Mexico this year.  Now she’s interested in finding out just what Huron County has to offer; she’s looking for adventure in her backyard.  Christine enjoys trying new cuisines, being out in nature and anything related to healing and alternative health.

Diva Gwen Richardson

Gwen Richardson ‘heard’ the call of Huron County three times (Centralia College in 1980, Katimavik in 1982 and ‘the best summer ever’ in 1988), without truly heeding it.  But in 1990, she moved back “for real” and probably forever. Gwen and her husband, Ray Hildebrand, live on a farm north of Auburn, and have raised their children, Grace and Stephen, admidst the rolling hills, Amish neighbourhood and natural beauty of rural Huron County. Many a day, Gwen counts among her blessings, the view from their sunroom and the fact that she cannot grocery shop without bumping into someone she knows.

I tried to send this post once so my apologies if this posts twice! My friend and I had shot a similar concept to this as you will see on the travel section of Solomag.com. Love what you’re doing and wondered if you’d be interested in letting me post some of your adventures on http://www.solomag.com – an online lifestyle magazine for single and independent women.

    Cheers!
