We be chillin at the Benmiller Inn

15 Apr

This lovely Friday afternoon, I, in typical fashion went out for lunch. This time I headed to the Benmiller Inn. I live literally 5 minutes away from the Inn, but I have only eaten there a few times. I do not even remember the last time I was there. I figured I might as well check it out.

What I like about the Benmiller Inn is that it has a perfect combination of fine dining and a casual lounge vibe. The food is presented very elegantly, however it is very inexpensive, at least the lunch menu was inexpensive. I do have one recommendation if you plan to attend the Benmiller Inn for lunch, order more than one thing! The food is more tapas style, smaller portions. I really enjoy this concept, mostly because I get to try a number of different things without eating myself into a food coma!

I ordered the perogies to start. They came with double smoked bacon, caramelized onions, and maple syrup. I was a little apprehensive about the maple syrup at first but decided to be adventurous. It was surprisingly delicious. The maple syrup just added a sweet aftertaste to the dish.

My lovely friend ordered chicken samosas for an appetizers, and they were also very tasty. The perfect amount of crunch.

As my main I ordered the lobster ravioli, with shaved asparagus, and my friend order the beef sliders trio, one coming dressed classic, the other double smoked bacon and aged cheddar, and the last with blue cheese and caramelized onions.

The overall experience was very lovely, just make sure if you do go for lunch you are not in a rush. It is more of a sit back relax and unwind kind of experience. It is not a have a quick bite to eat and leave kind of place.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend! Talk soon!

Oh, one last thought, Every Saturday night they have a tapas menu with live music, and they also have an incredible brunch buffet every Sunday!!! Just a suggestion!
