Kaylie loves lunch dates.

18 Apr

Today i was beginning to feel guilty about how often i actually go out and eat, and then it hit me, I dont feel guilty, I LOVE IT, and technically it is part of my job right? I have to let everyone know the best places to go, the best items to order etc. So if i am going to be giving advice, i really need to know my stuff. Thats why today, and Saturday, i did more research. I have written about both of these places before, but i did get something different to tell you all about!

Friday for lunch i went to my go to, The Black Dog, I ordered smoked salmon on rye bread with home made herbed cream cheese, red onion, capers, and a spinach salad. My one friend had the classic chicken club with chips and aoili, and my other ordered the special, which was a tuna melt panini, with smoked cheddar and fresh dill, and as always everything was delish!

Today, i met with another group of friends and headed back to J’s Bistro. Two of us had the special, quiche with spinach and feta cheese, turkey chowder soup and house salad, with my other friends having the house salad with grilled salmon. It was very tasty!!

Kaylie, you will have to check out our friday nights in May and June at the Little Inn! We’re taking a menu of classic “pub foods” and giving it a really modern and elegant twist (think lobster mac and cheese, foie gras-stuffed wings, grilled cheese with truffle). We’re really excited about it and I’m sure you will be too!

      Hi Hayley,
Kaylie and I both plan to get out to as many places as possible this summer! The pub food menu sounds seriously awesome! The two of us were planning on doing a “Girls Getaway” in Huron, I think the Little Inn will be one of our stops!!!
