Gettin Crazy at KryArt

4 Jul

Hey all, my sincere apologies for my long absence. As many of you know I work in the service industry, so while many get to enjoy a lovely and peaceful long weekend, I have the privilege of working my tail off 🙂 But all is well, I got through it!

Alright, so I have to go back to the middle of last week when I went to KryArt Studio on Main Street in Bayfield. KryArt, if you are unaware, is an art studio owned by an artist named Kristyn Watterworth. Hence the name, KryArt. Anyways, last week she invited myself and a few friends to come over and paint. I jumped at the opportunity. I realized I haven’t done something creative like painting in ages.

We showed up and she let us decide which style we would like to paint. She had a wall up giving examples of the most common styles. Three of us chose splatter painting – 1) because it looked extremely fun, and 2) because we felt it took the least skill. My other guest was brave and decided to paint a sunset.

Splatter painting started out very fun and very easy. That changed however when it was time to fill in the empty spaces! Three hours later our masterpieces were complete, and I must say, they looked good!  With Kristyn’s guidance we were able to make a fairly decent looking piece of art work.

The experience was awesome, and I will definitely  be going back to paint some more pictures!!!

From splatter, to nearly finished!

and now its finished! ta da!

These are my friends pretty pictures…

and these are everyones finished products!

I also walked around the studio and took some pictures of  paintings just to give you an idea of how talented Kristin is!

We all had such a great time and Krystyn was so great and helpful! It was a nice change to do something creative like this and step outside your comfort zone. Kristyn does adult night every Thursday from 7-10. All you have to do is show and be ready to be creative!

This looks amazing. I love how everyones art turned out. This makes we want to take a trip to the Wild Barn for some painting fun! What a great activity for families, dates or even just to learn some skills and have something to take home 🙂
