For $55 per person, you will enjoy a special tapas-style menu featuring locally grown items prepared by Chef Frank Ihrig of Hessenland with a complimentary glass of wine. The event will highlight local food vendors and businesses.
Guests will also have a chance to bid on amazing food-inspired items at the “Incredible Edible Auction”. Items up for grabs include: a private culinary lesson for 6 with Chef Spencer at Benmiller Inn; a personal chef dinner for 6 by Chef Devin of Bon Vivant Personal Chef Service; and fabulous food-filled gift baskets from The Black Dog Pantry and The Garlic Box, just to name a few.
Funds from the auction will help to subsidize event costs and assist in culinary tourism development through the Huron Tourism Association. For the past 3 years, Taste of Huron has received development funding through provincial government grants, but the event was not eligible for this funding this year and it is impossible to continue culinary development without additional funds, so if you can come out, it will be a great time!
The Food A-Fare event will also feature musical entertainment by local musician, Matthew Hussey. You can make reservations for this event by calling Hessenland directly at 1-866-543-7736.
