The arrival of the Canadian Geese and the budding of snow drops are indications that spring has sprung in Huron County and is a call to action for golf connoisseurs in the West Coast to start dusting off the clubs. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just starting out, our area has a variety of courses for every level that boast a natural beauty that everyone can appreciate. Personally, I have taken to the course only a few times, but was happy to take the opportunity to visit Maitland Country Club to celebrate their opening for the season. Located just off of Highway 21, this stretch of green borders the Maitland River where it connects to Lake Huron. I have always loved the feeling of being close to nature and as I trailed a group of golf regulars it was a wonderful experience to witness all different types of wildlife come out of hibernation out on the links.

The Maitland Country Club is open for the season from 8:00AM until dusk.
