Rise and Shine, its breakfast time!

21 Mar

Hey all! Hope everyone has finally recovered from St Patrick’s Day! Saturday evening I went out and continued to celebrate my inner Irish, unfortunately Sunday morning I looked green for entirely different reasons. I sucked it up though and went to town for the perfect hangover cure,Wicked Willies breakfast! I chose the classic ‘rise and shine’ breakfast,  and I was right, it cured            my  hangover! Over easy eggs, crispy hashbrowns, 4 pieces, count                em, 4 pieces of bacon, and toast. It was perfection. Wickeds defiantly          knows how to serve up the perfect breakfast! So next time you feel like         a yummy breakfast and don’t feel like cooking, head up to Wicked                 Willies! The service was great, the food came quick, all in all a great             place to go and enjoy breakfast!

Seeya there!

A Girls Getaway Photo Shoot

20 Mar

This week was a catch up week and I needed a “Girls Getaway” photo for an ad. Kaylie and I had planned a meeting in Bayfield, so I invited Brittany Fry and Monica Walker-Bolton to come with me. I don’t know how many times a month I am looking for models for photo shoots, but this time everything worked out perfectly! We ended up finding another friend while in Bayfield, so it made for a great day and perfect photo shoot!

If you are interested in modeling or being in out photo shoots, leave a comment below!

Puppies need friends too!

14 Mar

We have all been complaining, well atleast I have, about the weather and the lack of things to occupy us over these snowy months. Our pets are also feeling the winter blues, and you can change that! At the REACH (Regional Equine & Agricultural Centre of Huron) Centre, located at 169 Beech Street, Clinton, there is a leash free dog park! It is the only leash free park in the area. This park provides your best pal with a chance to socialize with other pups and have some quality time off the leash to run free and burn off some energy. For just a toonie the park provides double gates, washrooms, and water for you dog. This park is open Sundays 4-5pm. Check out the website for more information, www.reachhuron.ca

Lovin me some Huron County

7 Mar

Hey all! Kaylie here,

As Jenna already mentioned her and I will be working together to create a blog about our local experiences. I am 24 years old and was born and raised just outside of Goderich. After highschool I attended Wilfred Laurier University and graduated with a degree in communications. To get me through financially, I came home each summer and worked at the Black Dog in Bayfield. School is now done which means I don’t have to work quite as hard J . My summers were always so hectic that I had little to no time to actually enjoy what was surrounding me. My beach days were limited, I had no time to eat out, I didn’t get to enjoy local theatre ect.  So I decided to take a summer to appreciate, what I feel I ignored in the past. I always spoke about loving the small town life, but I feel I have not taken full advantage of what Huron County has to offer, so for my blog I want to share with you all my experiences and showcase what our area has to offer. I am going to be Captain Huron County!  If its local, ill be there! I am going to make the very best of this spring and summer and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with you all!!!

We’re Up and Running!

3 Mar

We are so excited to start posting on our new blog! We love to travel and try new things and that is what we are going to chat to you about! We are the travel divas for Ontario, If you want to take a vacation, have a beach day, explore the best food and agriculture around or even just wine and dine we’ll find it on Ontario’s West Coast, your countryside and coastline!

Kaylie’s plans are to tour Huron County from now until the end of the summer. She has been working in the service industry and hasn’t had many opportunities to have beach days, go to the theatre or try all of the local fare.

Jenna plans to post as many of her wonderful Huron experiences that she can.
